GUEST APPEARANCE: Sandra Simich with Chad Davidson

. . . playing a classical and jazz program

Sandra Simich is an accomplished classical pianist who regularly performs as a soloist, recitalist and chamber musician throughout California and Europe. Spanning various classical music styles — her performances permeate with maturity, passion and poetic expression.

“Lyrical and quietly poetic, she transports wished memories into keys with her intimate and technical mastery of Brahms” — one reviewer from the San Francisco Bay Area quoted. Another review from the Pacific Tribune said — “Ms. Simich’s playing is articulate, insightful ... poetry and dream within a swirl of technical marvel.” San Francisco Virtuoso quotes “rhythmic vitality, silky phrasing.”

Chad Davidson weaves a wicked mix of improv jazz and classical piano, performing as a soloist throughout Northern California. While his primary instrument is the piano, originally it was the trumpet. As a child Mr. Davidson found he easily learned —by ear—listening to artists such as as Miles Davis, Wynton Marsalis and Dizzy Gillespie, replicating their licks and songs. Surrounded by family members who played a wide range of instruments as well as his grandfather who mastered the horn, music quickly became a passion. Being a shy and introverted kid, Chad realized he could use music to speak to peole — to communicate on a soulful level.
